My seminar was postponed due to flight problems, should I send the materials anyway?

Clients paid for a seminar that I was not able to give, due to mechanical failure by airline. We delayed it for weeks now. They want a refund, but I am a small company and already spent a lot of money on it, so I can only change the dates. Should I send some materials in advance in good faith? Its overseas so it will cost, but may be a good gesture?
Any business advice would be greatly appreciated.
